CAN’T GET ENOUGH

If there is one thing that I cannot get enough of at this time of the year (apart from Raspberries that is), it’s the blue of these gorgeous agapanthus. It’s that same intoxicating blue that you see in Jacaranda.

If you had told me that dusty pink would work with orange, and hot pink, I would have thought “naaaa”. But look at this great accidental melange that only mother nature could produce! It happened when I quickly dashed outside and grabbed a bunch of blooms to use for my drawing practice. I was blown away by the combination and I hope you are too! As my father always used to say, somehow, in nature, everything always works together! 

COWPARSLEY, RED BOTTLEBRUSH, & OTHER RITES OF SPRING

All sited during my ritual morning 30 minute walk, and taken with the i phone. I know that cowparsley is just a weed really, but i just love it for its ethereal lace like beauty, and the purity of its white! Other favourite sitings for morning walks at this time of the year, are the red red bottlebrush, which attracts the yellow honeyeaters, and bolshy wattle birds,  the yellow lichen down at the creek, and the slivery flowering grasses. 


And at the end of a long and busy week, remember to stop, and just “breath”
